Excitement builds as the next Longest Auto Race World Tour plans for 2013 get underway.

As word of the Longest Auto Race Centennial of 2008 spreads, event coordinator, Luke Rizzuto, has found many car clubs eager to share the story of this thrilling, three-week adventure of crossing the U.S., being enthusiastically greeted in small towns all along the way, and exploring the original, often remote route of George Schuster, winner of the original 1908 Historic Great Race.

Sponsorship Box OUR GOAL

To follow the original 1908 European Schuster route, originating in Japan & finishing in San Francisco, CA, making history as the only auto drivers to complete such a journey around the globe.

In 2013, we invite you to follow along with us, online, as we embark on yet another historical journey with an intrepid group of auto enthusiasts, prepared to drive into the history books. Their goal—to be the very first group of auto drivers in history to literally drive “around the world” as they make their trek along the original George Schuster 1908 Great Race route, and beyond.

Check back often to see how preparations for this unprecedented trip unfold. With a proven track record, many of the 2008 Longest Auto Race Centennial participants plan to join, facing whatever daring challenges lie on the road ahead. Come back and learn more about each of these hardy, adventurous souls as departure time grows nearer.

Once the fun begins, follow our adventures vicariously as we circumnavigate the globe, living out our adventures and enjoying
rich cultural experiences. Share in what promises to be a rare, exciting journey of discovery.
